Sydney Custom Spraypainting motorcycles have featured in many motorcycle shows around the country, and we have sponsored the Best Paint Trophy at the Hard 'n' Fast Bankstown Custom Motorcycle Show since the early 90's.

The business currently has two employees besides Marc. Dennis Houssenloge (Marc's dad) who has worked with Marc since the start of the business, and also a qualified spraypainter tradesman since 1998.

About Marc
Marc has been a licensed tradesman (painter) since 1987. He has always had a passion for motorcycles of all makes, models and sizes, however his particular interest lies with American motorcycles - Harley-Davidson and Indian.

Many of Marc's custom bikes have featured on the covers of magazines such as Live to Ride, Ozbike, and Heavy Duty, and his work is often shown throughout the pages of these magazines as well.

He raced competitively for approximately 7 years in the Harley Sportster series, and built and raced a Harley-Davidson drag bike for about 5 years.

After one conversation with Marc, you will see the passion he has for his craft. If you want a custom, unique, eye-catching paint job for your motorcycle, call Sydney Custom Spraypainting today.

Q1. Do you sell paint?
A. No.

Q2. Can you take the tanks and guards off my bike?
A. No. We do not have whole bikes in the workshop for security purposes. Whoever normally does your service work will be able to help you.

Q3. Do you use 2-pac paint?
A. Yes. We only use the highest quality clear over base (COB) and 2K primers and etches. We have a full size spray/bake booth and are a fully licensed workshop.

Q4. Can you paint over my existing paint work?
A. We would prefer to bare metal and start from scratch, however depending on the condition and model of the bike, it is possible.

Q5. If my friend paints my bike, can you flame or graphic over the top of his work?
A. Yes. The paint must be 2-pac, 2K cleared over and pre-sanded with P1200 wet. As we haven't done any of the preparation, we cannot offer any warranty. If it peels during our graphic work, we will stop and give it back to you to give to the original painter. The total of the original quote will be charged at this point. However, this rarely happens, as 2-pac style paints generally have good adhesion. After graphic work is completed, it will be given back for your painter to clear coat.

Q6. How do I care for my new paint work?
A. Wash the bike the way you usually do. Remove any bugs with warm soapy water. This might take some time, do not scrub hard to try to get them off. There are a lot of good liquid polishers on the market, always start with the finer grades of polish first, so you don't do any damage to the paint work. There are also good waxes on the market, or I use Mr. Sheen to give a final finish to the bike. Over spray from Mr. Sheen won't hurt chrome or black wrinkle. (Don't get it on your tyres).

Q7. Can I have a one off colour?
A. Yes. We can mix or match colours to your requirements.
